BG- It isn't something we really talk about. We'd never play a show where we're just going to be background music, no matter how much we'd get paid. We play every show like it's our last. As long as people keep coming and we're not doing it just for money, we'll keep playing.

A7: We have a headlining show on 5/29 hosted by Gorilla Productions at Station 4. We are currently competing in the Ernie Ball Vans Warped Tour battle of the bands (online voting) to play at the Shakopee Warped Tour on 7/10/11. On 7/30 we have a benefit show we put together for Camp Get-A-Well-A at Station 4. Labor day weekend 9/2 - 9/4 we are heading to Kansas City, MO to play at the Kansas City Music Festival.

The website says that SWITCH started from a garage band that you all formed and it exploded into something big. How did you all meet, and when did you all realize that it was going to be something more than a hobby? How did you book your first gig?

Dave Lombardo (b. in Havana, Cuba) is a Cuban American heavy metal drummer best known for his work with American thrash metal band Slayer. He has performed with Slayer on seven albums, including their groundbreaking 1986 release Reign In Blood and their 2006 release Christ Illusion, for which he received critical praise. Lombardo's music career has spanned more than 25 years, during which he has been involved in the production of 29 commercial recordings spanning a number of major genres with bands such as Grip Inc., Fantmas, and Testament in addition to Slayer.

Omara Portuondo Pelez is a Cuban singer and dancer whose career has spanned over half a century. She was one of the original members of the Cuarteto d'Aida, and has performed with Ignacio Pieiro, Orquesta Anacaona, Orquesta Aragn, Nat King Cole, Adalberto lvarez, Los Van Van, the Buena Vista ensemble, Pupy Pedroso, Chucho Valds and Juan Formell. She currently tours worldwide alone and with the spinoff band the Orquesta de Baile Buena Vista Social Club.
